He was born Sept. 17, 1921, in Marshall, the son of the late Joseph and Mary Coble.
He was united in marriage to Gladys Marie Leonard on Jan. 25, 1941, in Neelyville, Mo. She preceded him in death on February 27, 1986.
Mr. Coble enjoyed playing the guitar and harmonica, fishing and gardening. He worked in the street department for the City of Ann Arbor, Mich. He attended First Apostolic Church in Corning.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by six brothers and six sisters.
He is survived by one son, Steven Coble of Taylor, Mich.; two daughters, Louise Coble of Sedalia, Mo., and Ome Coleman of Harrisburg; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 19, 2005, in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel in Corning with Rev. Allen Popour officiating. Burial followed in New Hope Cemetery at Pollard.
Ermert Funeral Home of Corning was in charge of the arrangements.
