Vesta Lee Parks, 80, of DeSoto died July 27, 2005, at The Villa's in DeSoto.

She was born July 31, 1924, in Rector, the daughter of Albert and Lois (Tidwell) Wilkins.

She was a packer for Bussman Fuse.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Parks; her parents; and her sister, Lucille Vangilder.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Sam) McElya of DeSoto; four grandchildren, Stephen Heskett of Foley, Mo., Russell Heskett of O'Fallon, Mo., Melinda (Ed) Kues of O'Fallon, Mo., and Stephanie McElya of St. Peters, Mo.; and five great-grandchildren.

Burial was in the Piggott Cemetery in Piggott with Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
