Janice Sue Rigdon, 66, of McDougal died on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, at the St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was born Nov. 26, 1938, in McDougal, the daughter of the late Jewell and Edith Parrish Robinson.

She was united in marriage to J.V. Rigdon on Feb. 9, 1956. They had three children.

She is survived by her husband, J.V. Rigdon of the home; three children, Ronald Earl Rigdon of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Rhonda Sue Phillips of Piggott and Jay Lynn Rigdon of Corning; two grandsons, Tray Lynn Rigdon of Piggott and Matthew Blake Rigdon of Corning; one great-grandbaby on the way; one sister, Zelda Fay Hicks of Corning; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005, in the Hoggard and Sons Funeral Chapel with Owen Little officiating. Burial followed in the Post Oak Cemetery in McDougal. Pallbearers were Grover Baker, Charles Morrisett, Gary Howell, Roger Haywood, Doyne Neeley and Robert Welty.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
