She was born on April 4, 1922, in Oklahoma City, Okla. She attended Central High School where she made many lifelong friends, was active in the Red Skirts and was named Basketball Queen.
After her graduation in 1940, she married Edward L. Brown, who tragically died in WWII. She later attended OU where she met and married Eddy Davis. They divorced in the early 60's but forged a good friendship prior to his death in January of 2005.
Mrs. Davis formed her own business in 1965, unusual at that time for a single woman. She owned 'Suite 1500' in United Founders Tower, a secretarial and answering service for many small businesses. She finished her career at the City of Oklahoma City, Traffic Division, retiring in 1988.
She moved to Piggott in 1991 to be near her daughter Vicki and her young grandchildren, who gave her so much joy. She remained in Piggott until her demise. She remained both vital and energetic until stricken with cancer earlier this year.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elzie Louis Tyson and Ada Manila Gallagher; husband, Edward J. Brown; and son Larry Joe Brown.
