Willis A. Jones, 87, of Maynard died Monday, Sept. 5, 2005, at Clay Healthcare in Corning.

He was born Sept. 17, 1917, in Doniphan, Mo., the son of the late Eddie Reamer Jones and Lena (Eagan) Jones.

He was united in marriage to Geneva Ella Crowell on Sept. 7, 1935.

Mr. Jones was a retired farmer. He attended Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Geneva Jones of Maynard; a son, Charlie Jones of Maynard; two daughters, Donna Romine of Piggott and Sharon Bratcher of Batesville; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday (today), Sept. 7, 2005, in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel in Corning with Orbra Williams Jr. and Rev. Chris Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in Hitt Cemetery at Success.
