He was born Sept. 24, 1941, in Knobel, the son of the late Loyd Franklin Murray and Lena Nettie (Whitaker) Murray.
He was united in marriage to Linda (Perkins) Murray on Nov. 10, 1961, in Corning.
Rev. Murray served as the pastor of the Poplar Bluff Pentecostal Church of God in Poplar Bluff and was a retired roofer and carpenter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Dewayne Murray on Jan. 3, 1970.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Murray of Poplar Bluff; two daughters, Brinda Kay McKinney of Paragould and Cindy McCombs of Neelyville; two brothers, Bill Murray of Fairdealing, Mo., and Garry Murray of Corning; two sisters, Ina Douglas of Rockford, Ill., and Arlene Montgomery of Knob; and two grandsons, Jerry Murray Pringle of Bamburg, Germany, and Nathan Douglas Pringle of Neelyville.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, 2005, in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel in Corning. Burial followed in the Corning Cemetery.
Ermert Funeral Home of Corning was in charge of the arrangements.
