He was born June 6, 1918, in Piggott, the son of Hilliard and Florence Easterwood.
Mr. Easterwood owned Tidy Cleaners, in Warren, Mich., from 1947-1968 then worked at Indian Village Cleaners. He loved fishing, taught Sunday School for more than 60 years and would have celebrated his 67th wedding anniversary on Aug. 17, 2005. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific.
He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Wayne Easterwood; parents, Hilliard and Florence Easterwood; and siblings, Beatrice Ellis and Dallas Easterwood.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dona; daughter, Deanna Sue Easterwood; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2005, at Schultz Funeral Home in Eastpointe, Mich., with the Rev. Andy Pratico officiating. Burial will take place in Christian Memorial Cultural Center in Rochester Hills, Mich.
Schultz Funeral Home of Eastpointe, Mich., was in charge of the arrangements.
