Leslie Dunlap

Leslie Dunlap, 87, of Piggott died Saturday, July 17, 2005, in the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott.

He was born on Sept. 17, 1917, the son of the late Charley Ford and Bessie Settlemoir Dunlap.

He was united in marriage to Mary Helen Bond on July 22, 1944. They had five children. She preceded him in death on Oct. 30, 1990. He married Pauline Ort in April of 1995. She preceded him in death in 1996.

He was also preceded in death by one son, David Dunlap; and two brothers, Jewell Ford Dunlap and Kenneth Dunlap.

He is survived by two daughters, Darlene Potter and husband, Steve, of Fagus and Sherrie Watson and husband, Clay, of Southaven, Miss.; two sons, Buddy Dunlap and wife, Stephanie, of Corning and Randell Dunlap and wife, Janette, of Piggott; nine grandchildren, Lance Potter of Cape Girardeau, Alicia Koback of Frankfurt, Germany, Heather and Brooke Watson of Memphis, Keegan, Chase and Mary Dunlap of Piggott and Jacob and Trent Dunlap of Corning; four great-grandchildren, Sidney, Winston and Aubrey Hayes and Holland Watson; and one sister, Rachel May Gower of Piggott.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2005, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with the Rev. Gary Hancock officiating. Burial followed in the New Hope Cemetery in Pollard. Pallbearers were Bob Gower, Buddy Dunlap, Randy Dunlap, Lenn Holifield, Lance Potter and Jerry Wade Morgan.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
