Thurl Wilson St. Cin Jr., 64, of St. Francis, died Friday, July 15, 2005, at his home. He was surrounded by family and friends.

He was born on Sept. 7, 1940, in Gideon, Mo., the son of Helen and Sam Cowart and the late Thurl Wilson St. Cin Sr.

He was united in marriage to Sondra Lawson on Aug. 22, 1985.

He was preceded in death by his father; a nephew, Phillip Jones; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Cowart; and a brother-in-law, Bill Rawls.

He is survived by his wife, Sondra St. Cin of St. Francis; one son, Blake Lawson of Alexander, Ark.; his parents, Helen and Sam Cowart of Malden; two very important and special people, Melissa and McKenzie Hopkins of the home; one daughter, Teresa Nagy and husband, Brian, of Piggott; one brother, Ray Cowart and wife, Pat, of Corning; four sisters, Barbara Rawls of Scott City, Mo., Faye Barnett of Dexter, Brenda Uelsmann and husband, Herman, of Cape Girardeau and Jeanie Huddleston and husband, Larry, of Kansas City, Mo.; two grandchildren, Erin and Kelsey Nagy of Piggott; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2005, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Rev. Charles Cooper officiating. Burial followed in the Piggott Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Terry Hill, Jimmy Hill, Blake Lawson, Aaron Sisson, George Wellman, Earl Sims and Danny Settlemoir. Honorary pallbearers included David Hill, Marty Reisz and Sam Cox.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
