Norman Harriss Grider

Norman Harriss Grider, 68, a native of St. Louis, and a long-time resident of Mobile, Ala., died at his home in Montgomery, Ala., on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2005.

After graduating Sidney Lanier High School and Oklahoma University, he served in the U. S. Army

and made a career as an architect.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman P. and Lanell Grider.

He is survived by his daughter, Monica Curtis of Mobile, Ala.; two grandsons, Taylor and Peyton Curtis; his brother, Maurice Grider of Anniston, Ala.; and two nieces, Melissa Grider of Woodbridge, Va., and Kristen McCabe of Huntsville, Ala.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2005, at New Hope Cemetery in Pollard with Pastor Loy Culver officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the organization of donor's choice.
