Shirley Garrison, 67, of Piggott died Monday, March 14, 2005, at her home in Piggott.

She was born July 16, 1937, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Norman Randle and Mae Violet Grote Cox.

She was united in marriage to Paul Garrison on March 8, 1957. They had one son.

Mrs. Garrison was a member of the First Baptist Church in Piggott, where she took care of the nursery for several years. She was a member of the Eastern Star, a member of the Jaycettes and the Little League Auxiliary. She worked for Brown Shoe Company, the Sears store and McMurry Office Supply.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Garrison of Piggott; one son, Gary Garrison and wife, Millicent, of Spring, Texas; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2005, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Charles Carrens and Dr. Shannon Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in the Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Walter Rau, Carey Rau, Greg Nixon, Aaron Householder, Jeff Howell and Floyd Landrum.
