She was born June 13, 1933, in Rector, the daughter of William L. and Virgie (nee Stacy) Collier.
She was united in marriage to Olan Glass on April 14, 1949, in Paragould.
Mrs. Glass was a member of Morse Mill Baptist Church and loved reading and collecting music boxes. She was a wonderful homemaker who took very good care of those around her. Her most precious moments were those spent with family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William L. and Virgie Collier; her husband, Olan Glass; grandson, Ralph Voegtlin; two brothers, Shelby and Morris Collier; and one sister, Jerry Thurman.
She is survived by five children, Jean Glass of Cedar Hill, Mo., Peggy (Clarence) Miller of House Springs, Mo., Gail (Lee) Yates of Cedar Hill, Kenneth Glass of Cedar Hill and David (Alice) Glass of Imperial, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Meegan (John) Zarbock, Heather (Lincoln) Tacony, Robert (Jammie) Lewis, Alison (Teddy) Gray, Steve (fiancee, Becky Bast) Miller, Jesse Glass and Jenny Glass; five great-grandchildren, Matthew Tacony, Robert Lewis Jr., Halen Tacony, Ralph Voegtlin Jr. and Austin Gall; two siblings, Bernice (Alvin) Boyer of Granite City, Ill., and Carolyn Sue Collier of Granite City, Ill.; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2005, at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill, Mo. Burial followed in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill.
