Martha Landrem Wilkes, 92, of Cabot, formerly of Jacksonville, Ark., died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005.

She was born Feb. 20, 1913, in Greenway.

Mrs. Wilkes was a member of Marshall Road Baptist Church in Jacksonville, where she belonged to the Golden Ladies Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Edman Tullis Wilkes; and one daughter, Oleta Bell Wilkes.

She is survived by her two sons, Jim Mack Wilkes of Little Rock and Samuel Norman Wilkes of Bella Vista, Ark.; one daughter, Sarah Park of Cabot; seven grandchildren, Richard Wilkes of Ind., Ed Wilkes of Conway, Shanti Wilkes of Centerton, Ark., Joe Park and Marvin Park of Cabot, Seth Wilkes and Stacy Robinson of Texas; and 16 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Wilkes is also survived by her special, loving friends at Cabot Manor.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at Marshall Road Baptist Church in Jacksonville with Rev. Cliff Hutchins officiating. Burial followed in the Arkansas Memorial Garden. Pallbearers were Walt Carney, Billy Gilmore, John Hagewood, Jerry Lacey, Roy Myers and Marlon Waymire. North Little Rock Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
