Elbert Ray Gossett, 66, of O'Fallon, Mo., died Thursday, March 3, 2005, at his home in O'Fallon.

He was born Jan. 21, 1939, in Piggott, the son of the late Jernigan Milage Gossett and Winnie Augustine Gossett.

Mr. Gossett was a property manager for the U.S. Government for 30 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Louie and Lloyd Gossett; and one sister, Vera Keller.

Survivors include his wife, Tamara Gossett of O'Fallon, Mo.; one daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Michael Scheib of Douglasville, Ga.; one son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Deanian Gossett of Harvester, Mo.; one sister, Genevieve Ellis of Flint, Mich.; and four grandchildren, Stephanie Scheib, Jeremy Scheib, Elizabeth Gossett and Caleb Gossett.

Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2005, at the Baue Funeral and Memorial Center Chapel in St. Charles, Mo. Burial followed in the St. Charles Memorial Gardens in St. Charles, Mo.
