He was born April 28, 1914, in Morganton, Ark., the son fo the late Johnny Earl and Pearl Parrish Graddy.
He was united in marriage to Edith Wright on Nov. 11, 1933. They had three children.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Fannie Graddy; one grandson, John Girtman; one sister, Imogene Gray; and one brother, Jerald Graddy.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Graddy of Greenway; one son, Ronnie Graddy and wife, Belinda, of Piggott; one daughter, Irma Girtman and husband, Billy, of Piggott; three grandchildren, Lisa Girtman of Piggott, Sean Graddy of Piggott and Troy Girtman of Mt. Orab, Ohio; seven great-grandchildren, Jennifer Robertson, John Girtman, Bryan Manning, Stacy Girtman, Kourtney Manning, Elyssa Girtman and Caleb Girtman; one great-great-granddaughter, Natlie Girtman; sisters, Juanita Williams and Geneva Gray, both of Piggott, and Earlene Williams and husband, Buel, of Troy, Mo.; brothers, Hullen Graddy and wife, Dorthy, of Piggott, Jimmy Graddy and wife, Janice, of Piggott, Bobby Joe Graddy and wife, Jo Anne, of Bowling Green, Mo., J.E. Graddy and wife, Una, of Conway, and Ailon Graddy and wife, Kathryn, of Fredericktown, Mo., and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 7, 2005, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Bill Lovelace officiating. Burial followed in the Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers were Travis Williams, Sam Williams Jr., Sam Williams, Bryan Manning, Justin Robertson, Linuel Graddy, Sean Graddy, Michael Graddy and John Girtman.
Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
