Charles E. Pruett

Charles E. Pruett, 75, of Greenville, Mo., died Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at Piggott Community Hospital.

He was born June 21, 1929, in Campbell, the son of the late Walter Earsel Pruett and Edith Pearl Triplett Pruett.

Mr. Pruett was a graduate of Malden High School and a member of the GM United Auto Workers Union. He was also a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean War era. He retired from the Buick Division of General Motors in Flint, Mich., after 31 years of service.

Survivors include one sister and a brother-in-law, Barbara and D.W. Summers of Malden; one sister-in-law, Anna Jordan of Greenville, Mo.; three aunts, Glenda Snider of Malden, Thelma Pruett of Malden and Floy Higgenbotham of Texas; one uncle, Lawrence Dees of Piggott; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with Rev. David Wigger officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.

Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of the arrangements.
