She was born June 22, 1930, in Mountainburg, Ark., the daughter of the late Richard S. and Hettie Kennedy Hall.
She was united in marriage to Samuel W. Hoover on Sept. 16, 1950. They had three children. Her husband preceded her in death in 1996.
She is survived by one daughter, Kate Hoover of Jacksonville, Ark.; two sons, Samuel W. Hoover Jr. of Memphis and William W. Hoover of Little Rock; seven grandchildren, Sarah Clair, Leanne Morrison, Angus Hoover, Tara White, Max Hoover, Samantha Donda and Albert Hoover; four great-grandchildren, Jackie, Zachary, Dillon and Madison; three brothers, Jack Hall of California, Robert Hall of Pearson, Ark., and Richard Hall of Conway; two sisters, Sue Graham of Austin, Texas, and Faye Sanson of Conway; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, in the First Presbyterian Church in Piggott with Robert Norvell officiating. Burial followed in the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Jacksonville, Ark.
Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
