He was born on February 6, 1914, in Cooter, Mo., the son of the late Abe Redman and Minnie Belle Hurst.
He was a retired auto worker and a Veteran of World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by five sisters, three brothers an one grandchild.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia Lee Redman of the home; four sons, Cletis Troy Redman and wife, Johnna, of Piggott, Douglas Abraham Redman and wife, Kathy, of Milan, Mich., Rickie Arron Redman and wife, Sharon, and Kenneth Wade Redman and wife, Linda, all of South Lyon, Mich; one daughter, Verna Lee Hatfield of Piggott, twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004, at the Irby Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Bradshaw officiating. Burial was in the Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway.
Pallbearers were Aaron Redman, Adam Redman, Jess Hatfield, Brandon Redman, Nick Redman and Gary Phillips. Honorary pallbearer was Joe Hatfield.
