He was born Aug. 12, 1916, in Beech Grove, Ark., the son of the late Wilson "Banty" and Callie (Clark) Wiseman.
He was united in marriage to Elva Loraine Green, she preceded him in death on Feb. 17, 1986. He was then united in marriage to Classena Johnson. She preceded him in death on March 27, 1995.
Mr. Wiseman attended Union Church in Knobel. He was a farm laborer and served in the United States Army during World War II.
In addition to his parents and his wives, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray Wiseman and Andrew Wiseman; nine sisters, Alta Archer, Hazel Archer, Lena Cummins, Leota Knoppe, Hilda Wright, Reba Triplett, Ethel Wiseman (his twin), and Earline and Eileene Wiseman, who were also twins; and two sons, Vernon Glen and Farren Lynn Wiseman.
He is survived by one dear companion, Allene Day of Piggott; a friend, Tommy Risinger of Piggott; and three sisters, Bonnie Locke of Oak Grove, Ark., Letha Murray of Corning and Nadeith Horner of Tulsa, Okla.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004, in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Bond Cemetery at Knobel.
Ermert Funeral Home of Corning was in charge of the arrangements.
