Walter H. Christopher, 93, of Piggott died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004, at Piggott.

He was born June 12, 1911, in Rector to the late Edwin and Nancy Christopher.

He was a carpenter and of the Methodist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Geneva Faye Christopher; three sons, Dewayne Christopher and two infant sons, Roger and Loyd Dean Christopher; one infant daughter, Verna Christopher; and one sister, Artie Lacey.

Survivors include five sons, Darrell Christopher of Piggott, Cecil Christopher of Phoenix, Ariz., Byron Christopher of Grand Blanc, Mich., and Terry Christopher of Flint, Mich.; three daughters, Verla Christopher of Piggott, Vonna Peck of Paint Rock, Texas, and Sheron Wildmo of Fenton, Mich.; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15 (today), at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Jack Bearden officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Hill Cemetery with Mitchell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
