Eugene M. "Bud" French

Eugene M. "Bud" French, 80, of Pollard died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004, in the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott.

He was born April 15, 1924, in Piggott, the son of the late Barney and Arabell Doty French.

He was united in marriage to Charlene Palmer on Jan. 14, 1950. They had four children.

He was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Daniel Harmon, Marcus and Garrett French; two brothers, Sonny French and Leroy French; one sister, Madeline Chase; his step-father, Onia McKenney; and two step-brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene French of Pollard; two sons, Gary French and wife, Laura, of Piggott and Larry French and wife, Michelle, of Aurora, Colo.; two daughters, Barbara Harmon and husband, Ted, of Pollard and Martha Capps and husband, Reginald, of North Little Rock; five grandchildren, Hillary, Haley and Hunter French, Anthony French and Emily Harmon; one step-grandson, Barry Capps; one step-brother, Frank McKenney, and one step-sister, Dora Causey, both of Piggott; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, 2004, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Owen Little officiating. Burial followed in the New Hope Cemetery in Pollard. Pallbearers were Grover Baker, Curtis Barker, Delmar Rigdon, Gordan Pike, Rick Little and J. Finley.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
