Dencial E. Crews, 71, of Piggott, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at his home.

He was born Dec. 2, 1932, in Boydsville, the son of the late Virgil and Flossie McElyea Crews.

He married Norma Harrell on Nov. 9, 1951, and they had three children.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Sue Staggs.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Crews, of the home; one son, Denny Michael Crews of Louisville, Ky.; two daughters, Sherry Gunn and husband, Charles, of West Helena, and Lisa Wilkinson and husband, Roger, of Memphis; three grandchildren, Rachel Haedge, Jamie Gunn, and Eric Wilkinson; one brother, Donald Crews of San Diego, Calif.; one sister, Sandra Shephard of Osceola; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 30, 2004, at the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Jack Bearden and Futrell Butler officiating.

Burial followed in the Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers were Don Caldwell, Charles Gunn, Marshall Wheeler, Jim Howell, Leland Gibson and Roger Wilkinson.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
