Wayne Mowery, 49, of Piggott died Friday, July 2, 2004, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 25, 1954, the son of Kenneth and Rita Manzanares Mowery.

He was united in marriage to Pat Estes on Nov. 6, 1976, and they had two children.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rita Mowery; and his grandparents, Orvall and Mildred Mowery.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Mowery of Piggott; two sons, Timothy Lee Mowery of Nashville, Tenn., and John Thomas Mowery and wife, Wendy, of Paragould; his father, Kenneth Mowery and step-mother, Helen, of Piggott; five grandchildren, Andrew William Allan, Austin Tyler Mowery, Jacob Dillon Mowery, Ashlin Marie Mowery and Madeline Rene' Mowery; two sisters, Joyce Boshell of Mobile, Ala., and Annette Dutka of Piggott; one brother, David Mowery of Horn Lake, Miss.; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 4, 2004, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Duane Dutka officiating. Burial followed in the Piggott Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Steve Piland, Steve Causey, Mike Hardin, Tim Blair, Mike Lane and Ron Ray. Honorary pallbearers were Jacob Dillon Mowery, Andrew William Allan and Austin Tyler Mowery.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
