Emily Allen Hopkins, 60, of Ripley, Tenn., died June 13, 2004, in Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis.

She was born July 21, 1943, in Boydsville, the daughter of the Eugene King Allen and Wilma Phillips Allen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Vaughn Hopkins; one brother, David Taylor Allen; and her father, Eugene King Allen.

She is survived by one son, David Hopkins of Ripley, Tenn.; two daughters, Belinda Hilliard of Ripley and Melinda Olds of Halls, Tenn.; her mother, Wilma Allen of Pollard; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2004, in Garner Funeral Home in Ripley with Bro. J.B. Ammons officiating. Burial followed in Ripley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to New Hope Cemetery in Pollard.
