He was a native of Arkansas but lived in Mississippi for the past 49 years. He attended Tupelo Bible College in Tupelo, Miss., and he pastored Pentecostal Apostolic Church in Philadelphia, Miss., for 29 years where he worked at the time of his death.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Thomas "Doc" and Ruth Felps Roark; and two brothers, Carl Roark and Paul Roark.
He is survived by his wife, Lillie Shepard Roark of the home; sons, Ronnie Roark of Los Angeles, Calif., and Paul Roark of Noxapater; daughters, Sharon Bailey of Noxapater and Tina Roark of Philadelphia; sisters, Fay Plummer, Marie Slayton, Doris Cook, Wanda Rice and Janice Hampton, all of Piggott; 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the church with Rev. Tommy Cypert and Rev. Nathan Lowe officiating.
Burial was in Sunrise Cemetery in Noxapater with McClain-Hays Funeral Home of Philadelphia in charge of arrangements.
