Charles Erwin Irby, 66, of Piggott, died Thursday, May 27, 2004, at the Piggott Community Hospital.

He was born Dec. 9, 1937, in Pontiac Michigan, son of W.E. Irby and Emogene (Simpson) Irby.

He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother, of Piggott; and one brother, William C. "Bill" Irby and wife Beverly of Piggott; three nieces, Gail Robinson, Lynae Cole and Allison Jacobs; five great-nieces and nephews, Ryan Robinson, Daniel Robinson, Lauren Cole, Mallory Cole and Russell Jacobs; and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 29, at the Piggott Cemetery with Jerry Morgan officiating.

Irby Funeral Service, Inc., of Piggott was in charge of arrangements.
