Leroy French

Leroy French, 82, of Piggott died Sunday, May 16, 2004, at Poplar Bluff Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

He was born on Dec. 20, 1921, in Piggott, the son of the late Barney and Arabell Doty French.

He was united in marriage to Anna Mae Fisher on Jan. 26, 1946, to this union three children were born.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Carol Ann French; one brother, Sonny French; one sister, Madeline Chase; step-father, Onia McKenney; and two step-brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Mae French of Piggott; one daughter, Sherry Schulte and husband, Chuck, of Piggott; one son, Hal French and wife, Carla, of Piggott; four grandchildren, Joe Don Schulte and wife, Beth, Brian Schulte, Misti Sanders and husband, Brent, and Staci Bohr and husband, Eric; two great-grandchildren, Taylor Bohr and Coleman Schulte; one brother, Eugene "Bud" French of Pollard; one step-brother, Frank McKenney and step-sister, Dora Causey, both of Piggott; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Kevin Murray and Charles Carrens officiating. Burial followed in the Piggott Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Joe Don Schulte, Brian Schulte, Brent Sanders, Eric Bohr, Aldion Turner and Roger McKenney.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
