2009 Piggott Heritage Park Car Show and Cruise

Despite the wet conditions many of the car show participants camped at Heritage Park. This shot was from Thursday evening as the original Rod Run crew fed those lucky enough to be on hand.

The weather looked much worse that it was, and for the most part all the rodders and spectators stayed dry. I'm sure the "T" owner appreciated that more than the others in this shot.

Gary and Teresa Johnson brought these two entries all the way from St. Francis for the the annual show. Based on the amount of interest generated The Piggott Times has chosen the Rat Rod at the right as the winner of our "Dead Grass Award."

Members of the Southern Illinois Street Rod Association visited this year's show, and promised to make a return visit. They were also slated to host a show of their own Memorial Day Weekend.
