Wanted, Mohawk history

In the coming months we will be gathering information to be used in a publication highlighting the history of the Piggott High School Mohawk sports teams. It only seems proper to look to you, former Mohawks and PHS fans, for your guidance.

I'd love to have emails from a lot of you with suggestions, story ideas, stats, information and photos. Needless to say, any photos sent in may be used in the publication and your submission would serve as permission to reprint. Those submitting photos will receive appropriate credit.

We're planning a nice glossy publication for release in late 2010, just in time for Christmas giving. There will be limited ads, primarily to underwrite the printing costs.

I'd like to hear about the great football, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, tennis and golf teams and players.

The Mohawk sports programs enjoy a rich history and I'm looking forward to working on the project in the months to come. I'll also keep everyone updated on what has been submitted, and by whom.

Whether you think you have something to add, or not, I'd like to hear from as many of you as possible. Including the dozens of former Mohawk sports reporters for The Piggott Times, or even the Piggott Banner.
