3A-3 playoff picture

With two games to play in the regular football season, four teams are tied at the top of 3A-3 this week. Cave City, Harrisburg, Earle and Rivercrest are all 4-1 in conference, and only Hoxie at 3-2 has a chance to break into the playoff qualifiers. Meanwhile, Manila is 1-4 in conference, while the Mohawks and Corning are still looking for their first conference win.

The Cavemen fell at Harrisburg last week 7-26 for their first loss of the year, while Rivercrest handled the Mohawks 41-14, Earle beat the Hoxie Mustangs 30-22 and the Manila Lions pounded the winless Corning Bobcats 41-0.

This Friday night Cave City will visit Hoxie, Rivercrest is at Corning, Earle hosts Harrisburg and the Mohawks visit the Manila Lions.

Next Thursday, Nov. 5 the final regular season games will be played, and the lineup will include--Piggott hosts Corning, Earle visits Cave City, Rivercrest is at Manila and Hoxie hosts Harrisburg.

The playoffs begin the following Friday, with the top four teams in conference advancing to the post season.
