Mohawks advance at district tournament

The Piggott Mohawks advanced to the second round of the district tournament at Tuckerman Tuesday night with a 78-62 win over the Manila Lions. The Tribe will play at 6:30 p.m. tonight (Wednesday, Feb. 18) against the Rivercrest Colts.

With a win the Mohawks will advance to take on the top-seeded Earle Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. Friday. A win over the Colts will also insure the Mohawks a trip to next week's regional tournament a Bergman.

The championship games of the distict tournament at Tuckerman will be played Saturday night. The girls championship will tip-off at 6 p.m. with the boys final to follow around 7:30.
