Junior Mohawks visit CorningPosted Wednesday, September 10, 2008, at 9:32 AM
The Piggott Mohawk junior football team will kickoff their regular season Thursday, Sept. 11, as they visit Corning for a non-conference game. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. as Coach Michael Harrell and his team get the 2008 campaign underway. This year will be a re-building season for the junior Tribe, as they lost a raft of quality players from last year's 8-1 squad. The following Thursday night the junior boys will visit Cave City, and on Sept. 26 they visit Earle. They'll play their home opener on Oct. 2 as they play host to Harrisburg. All Mohawk fans are encouraged to try to make the trip to Corning Thursday night and support the junior team. Let's fill the visitor's bleacher and let the Bobcats know how much we support our team. I'll be there just as soon as the Clay County Fair parade is over..see you along the sideline. |
