The filing period for individuals interested in running for a position on the Piggott school board begins July 11. According to the county clerk's office the period this year will be from Friday, July 11 until noon on Friday, July 18.

Piggott School board president Shawn Parker is completing his second five-year term and has indicated that he will not be running for re-election. Currently there are two individuals who have shown an interest in the job, but neither have made their intentions official so we'll hold-off on naming them for now.
